The smARTlab is a premiere design, production, photography, and video documentation entity led by photographer and documentary filmmaker, Ben Premeaux. The lab produces original content, serves as Director of Photographer for a broad spectrum of projects, and Premeaux is a commercially licensed drone pilot. 

The smARTlab client has an appetite for poignant storytelling and relationships rooted in trust and adventure. Clients and works include: Emmy Award winning documentary, Nature: Walking With Emerson and Thoreau, the Lennox Lewis documentary, Tough Love, music artist J. Cole (J. Cole Forest Hills Drive: Homecoming – HBO), music artist Lute (Still Slummin’ – West 1996, Part 2), Violins of Hope – Violins of the Holocaust – Instruments of Hope in Mankind’s Darkest Hour (book trailer), Double Down The Movie (documentary), The Spoke Easy, Levine Center for the Arts, Blumenthal Center for Performing Artist, Gantt Center, and Bechtler of Modern Art.

The smARTlab’s ongoing collaboration with contemporary artist Mel Chin has yielded work on stellar projects such as: Time Square Series for G.O.N.G. (video), She’s Not There (short film), Fundred PSAL’Arctique est ParisRepurpose: The Story of Flint Fit, and Capital to Capital: The Story of Fundred.
